The results of measurement of torque given to the driven machine by the prime mover, by strain gauge torque transducer, are described. These experiments confirm that 1) this transducer is useful, too, in measurement of transfer torque given to the driven machine when the rotating system is in steady state, 2) mechanical loss can be measured directly, and easily divided into frictional loss and windage loss from it's speed characteristics, 3) and transient transfer torque can be recorded in the electromagnetic oscillogragh in passable fiderity.
