Hoping to improve the extraction of copper in primary slime circuit of Osarizawa flotation concentrator, the flotation tailing was infrasized and superpanned, heavy minerals thus obtained were examined under the microscope. Malachite, chrysocolla and azurite were determined as acid soluble copper minerals, which occupy sixty per cent of total copper. Sulphide copper minerals together with their "free and locked" relationships have been determnined statistically. From the result obtained, the adoption of attrition machine to refresh the surface of the sulphide copper minerals or special collector effective for oxide copper have been suggested. To recover the oxide copper in -10μ fraction which amount to seventy per cent of acid soluble copper, hydrometallurgical method is also advisable, if possible.
