The purpose of this study was to investigate the developmental process of extremely early stages of human behavior. This is a longitudinal case study with a profoundly mentally and physically retarded woman. Relationship between eyes and hands was examined under various situations. We tried to make clear the process through which the subject built up her behavior based on the sense of sight and hands.
