It is well-known that Kozui Otani's expeditions were sent during the years 1902-1904 (Central Asia and India by himself and T.Watanabe, M.Hori ; K.Inouye, Y.Honda), 1908-1909 (Mongolia and Central Asia by Z.Tachibana and E.Nomura), 1910-1914 (Central Asia by Z.Tachibana, A.O.Hobbs, K.Yoshikawa). One of the most important problems is the dating of each member's departure and arrival concerning each area or place. The present author has inspected the existing related materials to obtain those datings, for example, the date of S.Fujii's leaving London, that of K.Inouye's returning to Japan, Z.Tachibana's date, E.Nomura's dates, etc. Another problem is the compiling of the expeditionary reports in relation to the Russo-Japanese War, 1904-1905. Most of the compiling members were engaged in the missionary work under the war. After the war Kozui Otani gave those close to him the orders to explore various areas. S.Umegami was to go around the South and North America in 1907-1908,Z.Hashiramoto [i.e.A.Ama] to go to India, Kashmir in 1907-1909 [1908-1909], Sonju Otani and T.Watanabe to go around the South and East Africa, India in 1908-1909. These unknown expeditions were sent during the same period with the Central Asian expedition.
