This paper deals with a peculiar kind of proposition which I have termed "the nonsense proposition," after Campbell. THe nonsense proposition is a kind of proposition which we can prove to be neither true nor false. When a person and / or a certain community adopt a nonsense proposition as their defence, there is no possibility of logical refutation against them. This can fatally block communicaation between the proponents and the opponents of a proposition. Instances of the application of nonsense propositions are found in such fields as philosophy, religion and science. The author provides descriptions of what they are, and then discusses each of them in detail.
