概要

• The present note reviewed some notions of sustainable cities or eco-cities, while mainly focusing on regional structures which is an element of the internal systems causing various kinds of environmental issues. This note also mentioned the following matters : sustainable development and agenda 21,sustainable urban development and local agenda 21,internal structures and subsystems, and regional structure and cooprration. At the end of this note, the author drew some concluding remarks, while suggesting some directions which sustainable cities might follow.
