After the privatization of telecommunication networks/services, management environment has become complicate. Each network/service provider has its own networks/services management environment. However, networks/services are often offered to an end customer by the cooperation of several providers. Quality of an end to end service to the customer depends deeply on the integration of management services. One of the important part for the management cooperation is the integration of management information models. Management information models are defined, depending on its provider, vender, generation of equipment, and so on. As a result of this situation, management becomes so complicate that one could hardly manage networks/services on an end to end basis. This paper overviews network management information models as well as model design processes. Then it considers the integration of models. The discussion concludes that it seems to be difficult to design models at one place and at the same time. Considering this, gradual integration method following the standard modeling process is proposed to realize a practical modeling environment.
