画像の誤り保護手法の一方式 : 誤り訂正符号の周波数概念のアナログ信号への適用

A new error protection that can be applicable to the analogue transmission Channel is proposed. This scheme uses unique redundancy of image signals, without any additional redundancy. In this paper, frequency spectral conception of error correcting codes is applied to the basic idea of this scheme. To correct the error symbol at the analog image information signals, unique redundant frequency band of the image signals is allocated for the syndrome frequency. The filter that has comb characteristics from 1.3 MHZ to 2.7 MHZ is used as the coding filter which determine the frequency spectral structure of the code words. As the result of experiment and computer simulation, error compensation was available at the channel error probability of 2×10^<-2>. The resolution of diagonal direction dropped just a little, but the resolution of horizontal and vertical direction are not dropped, therefore the image quality is hardly recognized. When the error rate is high, the S/N improvement of this scheme is better than error correcting code that has the same error detecting capability. By this research, it is clarified that the proposed scheme has a good profitable characteristics for the recording and transmission systems.
