The aged structure may not keep their initial condition, because the states of the structure may be changed by the load occurrence or other causes. Then the states of the structural system should be dealt with multiple states and the prediction of the states should be described as their multiple damage states. This paper investigates a method of time-dependent system reliability of structures and prediction of future states of the structure. The system reliabilities are presented by Markov chain model, it is based on the assumption that the states of the structure at any time depend only on the states at the previous states. To evaluate time-varying system reliability, it is necessary to calculate the transition probability from a state to another state. The transition probabilities are calculated by the load coincidence method proposed by Wen. The examples of a parallel system and a reinforced concrete structure are evaluated by this method. The results of time dependent reliability and the states of structural elements are presented.
