The purpose of this thesis is to analyze the considerations and factors affecting mothers having children. The subjects were 294 mothers raising children between the age of 4 months and 3 years. The parental considerations for having children used for the questionnaire in this thesis are those of Vinokur-Kaplan. Analysis of the survey results highlighted the following five factors ; "meta-personal" as the first factor, "experience", as the second, "economic" as the third, "feeling of being trapped" as the fourth, and "genealogical continuation" as the fifth. Additionally, relationships with the aboves factors are identified as follows ; the relationship between the first factor and mother's educational background, the relationship between the second factor and father's educational background, the relationship between the third factor and the number of the children being raised and also the relationship between the third and marital duration prior to the birth of the first child.
