Macbeth's misinterpretations of the witches' prophecies will be analyzed. The introduction will detail the prophecies related in Act I and will conclude with comments on how they foreshadow the prophecies told to Macbeth in Act IV. The body of the paper will discuss the mistakes Macbeth makes in interpreting these prophecies and how they lead to his death.
