In this paper, the authors propose the method of analysis of horizontal resistance of the foundation structure considering the shear deformation (used Shear modulus) of the ground in front of the foundation. The method of analysis is applied to the rigid foundation like the caisson type pile. The fundamental formula of horizontal resistance of the rigid foundation can be derived with the several assumptions. In order to investigate the relation with the actual measurements, the back analysis were carried out using the subgrade parameters in the deduced formula. As the result, we can be possible to deal with a simplified method of non-linear phenomenon, by means of introduction a standard expand angle of yield.
