A two-phase closed thermosyphon falls often into various unsteady-state operations. It is a very important problem for the industrial applications. Some practical examples of unstable phenomena occurred in a two-phase closed thermosyphon have been described. The behaviors of working fluid in this device have been observed in detail. The causes of the occurrences of the unstable phenomena have been discussed.
