Five new species of the family Platygastridae, Platygaster stimulator, P. riparia, P. urnicola, Synopeas yanagi and S. Juminale, which are parasitic on the willow gall midges, are described from Japan. Additionally, their host-parasite relation-ships and life-histories are discussed.
