<RESEARCH REPORT>LASER DIAGNOSTICS ON MAGNETICALLY INSULATED FLASHOVER PULSED ION DIODES

Our recent experimental results on the characteristics of a flashover-type applied-B magnetically insulated pulsed ion diode are described. The main issues are to investigate the cause of impurity of the extracted beam and to examine the effect of neutral particles on the diode characteristics. In the experiment, our main efforts were placed on laser diagnostics of the diode gap behavior.
