Asymptotic Integration for a System of Certain Nonlinear Functional Differential Equations

The author discusses the asymptotic estimate of solutions of the nonlinear functional differential equation x'(t)=[A+V(t)+R(t)]x(t)+B(t)x(g(t))+f(t, T(t, x)) with 0<g(t)<t and g(0)=0,where x(t) is an n-dimensional column vector and A is a constant square matrix with simple characteristic roots, V(t)→0 as t→∞ and is absolutely continuous on some interval [t_0,∞), the elements of R(t) are integrable, B(t) is an n×n matrix with complex bounded entries and f is a nonlinear functional perturbation term satisfying a certain condition concerning the asymptotic behavior of it, and our results are general enough to include perturbation terms with retarded and advanced arguments. Thus, we can consider the system with two kinds of deviating arguments. We give several examples to illustrate the significance of our results.
