韓国の養殖ヒラメ由来 HIRRV 株を接種した RTG-2 細胞の toal RNA から, RT-PCR で HIRRV の G proein を含む cDNA を得, G proein 遺伝子の C 末端側の半分を GST-fusion proein として発現・精製し, ワクチンとした。ヒラメ稚魚を低濃度(50μg/mL)と高濃度(300μg/mL)のワクチン液に7分間浸浸し, 30日後に攻撃試験を行った。高濃度, 低濃度処理群及び対照群の死亡率は, 腹腔内攻撃では6.7%, 6.7%, 43.3%, 浸浸攻撃では1.7%, 0%, 15%であった。
