In Ubiquitous computing which is proposed by Mark Weiser, the digital appliances of home provide required services with minimized or without any physical interaction to human. In this new environment, devices are expected to aware current situation and should decide appropriate services to support. This paper presents the implementation method of this technology those are the modeling of situations through the finite automata and designing of Simple u-Context Definition Language (SuCDL) which expresses the current situations. We propose the OSGi based Situation Management Server (SMS) which generates the XML typed digital appliance control command to provide service for found situation. Also, this paper suggests commands for situation that enabling to use unified high-level commands. Finally, the Digital Appliance Server (DAS) utilizes these commands. We mainly concern with developing of situation-aware based appliance controlling system through combining of SMS and DAS. This platform is smaller and low-powered embedded platform than other context-aware based system and applicable with small-size standalone residential gateway at home or building.
