The first purpose is to characterize the existence of well-behaved *-representations of locally convex *-algebras by unbounded C<SUP>*</SUP>-seminorms. The second is to define the notion of spectral *-representations and to characterize the existence of spectral well-behaved *-representations by unbounded C<SUP>*</SUP>-seminorms.
