The spatial distribution of gas temperature was measured on a surface discharge ozonizer. It was measured using the Michelson interferometer with a He–Ne laser. The ozonizer has a configuration of a thin dielectric plate (Al2O3) put between a stripe shaped high-voltage electrode and a grounded electrode. In this experiment, oxygen gas with a flow rate of 1.5 L/min was used for ozone generation, and an ozone concentration of 610 ppm was obtained at a discharge power of 0.8 W. At the same time, the maximum increment of average gas temperature was approximately 2°C at a distance of 2.2 mm from the surface of the ozonizer elements.
