• In this paper we will introduce one of the tents of Brazil's work, particulaly with respect to the function of pitch sequence, and try to investigate some of the weak points in our students' reading aloud, about which we are mush concerned. In part 1, we focussed on the function of pitch sequence in written discourse based upon the model of Brazil(1985)and tried to find some of the points to be remedied from the viewpoint of prosodic features. In order to pursue this work of analysis, we had the pleasure of using Sugi-speech analyzer with the cooperation of Yutaka Masuda(Matsuyama University). In the last part,some pedagogical issues have been described with the prospect of better interaction in the broad sense of the word. (to be developed further in Part 2)
