訪問診療では患者1人に複数の医師や看護師がかかわることが多く、患者情報の共有は不可欠だ。このため、在宅医療向けの電子カルテも出てきた。大阪北ホームケアクリニック（大阪市淀川区）では、ネットワークを介して職員が電子カルテを共用できるシステムを導入。患者宅でも最新の情報をパソコンで確認でき、診療の効率化やカルテ開示に役立てている。
