Temperature Dependences of Electric Resistivity and Thermoelectric Power on Sn Fraction $X$ in Polycrystalline n-AgIn1-XSnXO2 Compounds

Polycrystalline n-AgIn1-XSnXO2 ($X=0.03$, 0.05, 0.07 and 0.10) with the delafossite structure were prepared, and the temperature dependences of their thermoelectric properties were evaluated to determine power factor. The most suitable power factor was obtained at $X=0.05$. The electric resistivity and thermoelectric power of the polycrystalline n-AgIn0.95Sn0.05O2 specimen were $5\times 10^{-4}$ $\Omega$m and $-150$ μV K-1 at 500°C, respectively. These results indicate the possibility of applying these crystals in supplemental electric power generators of automobiles.
