The effect of Sr substitution for Ba on the dielectric characteristics of Ba4Nd2Ti4Ta6O30 ceramics was investigated together with the microstructures. The dielectric constant and dielectric loss increased with increasing Sr content, while the crystal parameters decreased. The temperature coefficient of the dielectric constant was improved slightly from $-1500$ ppm/°C to $-1227$ ppm/°C. There was a clear relationship between the dielectric constant, the temperature coefficient of the dielectric constant and the axial ratio $10^{1/2}c/a$.
