A Proposal for Third-Harmonic Generation for Pulse Compression with Noncollinear Phase Matching

We propose a novel scheme for third-harmonic generation for pulse compression with a noncollinear tripler. Theoretical results show that a 42 fs third-harmonic pulse at 266.7 nm could be generated from wave mixing of a 100 fs fundamental pulse at 800 nm and a 100 fs second-harmonic pulse at 400 nm.
