鹿島がJVの幹事会社を務めるアルジェリアの東西高速道路建設工事では、品質を確保しつつ限られた期間での施工を実現するために、マシンコントロール（MC）などによる情報化施工を導入している。連続した複数の基準点で400kmの道路エリアをカバーした。基準点は約15kmごとに配置し、データ配信用の無線は出力10W。全線にわたって丁張り設置などの作業を省略できた。
