In this study, we have investigated the method of quantitatively-evaluating the severity of dizziness patients using a magnetic motion capture (MoCap). Measuring system has been developed using a magnetic MoCap system in order to automatically measure the position and orientation information of the head, both shoulders, lower back, and both knees. Results of measurement of body movement in each part of the walking test conditions presence or absence an obstacle, a significant difference was observed in the moving distance. In addition, we have evaluated the body sway by a combination of stabilometer and MoCap. As results of healthy subjects, body sway was increased in proportion to the height. Under the closing eyes condition, if subjects stood on tiptoe, the range of sway was increased average 4.6 times in the sagittal direction, and was increased average 3.9 times in the left-right direction.
