Five hundred and forty five cases of epistaxis were treated at our hospital between January 1990 and December 1992. Of these 192 cases of idiopathic epistaxis were analyzed. Epistaxis occurred more frequently in January and February, but showed no correlation with weather conditions or phase of the moon.<BR>Most cases were controlled after determining the site of bleeding and providing with suitable surgical treatment.
