• We report a case of rhinogenic epidural empyema. The patient was a 39-year-old male, who was admitted because of headache and forehead swelling. CT scan revealed that he had an epidural empyema and a subcutaneous empyema, which developed from acute frontal sinusitis. Close monitoring with serial CT scans offered us important intracranial and sinus information for the management of this disease. We successfully treated the case by administration of antibiotcs. We emphasized the usefulness of the serial CT scans and briefly discuss the treatment of rhinogenic intracranial complications.
