In order to use a large rocket motor in the near future, it is important to obtain information relating to the hazard potential of the solid motor. Because of this reason, the impact test was conducted at Tomakomai, Hokkaido, on the date from 13 to 19 September 1991, using Small Solid Rocket Motors (SSRMs). SSRMs were impacted on a massive concrete target at the expected velocities of both 100m/s and 200m/s to aid in evaluating the hazard of the solid motor when used as the booster of a large rocket .
