The mechanism of synchronous switching in double-barrier Josephson junctions has been analyzed by means of numerical calculations. It is found that an interaction of the screening current between electrodes of double-barrier junctions cannot be ignored if the common electrode is thinner than the magnetic penetration depth and that the synchronous switching occurs when the junction size is larger than the Josephson penetration depth.
