In this paper we propose a new method of data acquisition and image reconstruction for ultrasonic diffraction tomography. We introduce transmitter and receiver arrays to speed up the data acquisition. We design the arrays to obtain a large amount of data with a comparatively small number of transducer-elements. We also discuss the imaging algorithm from data thus acquired. The imaging capability of the method is confirmed by numerical simulation.
