A 78-year-old man was operated on for drainage for panperitonitis due to ruputure of a liver abscess. It was complicated by septic shock, and abscess cavity was treated by continuous drainage, therefore he was discharged one month after operation. Two months after discharge, he was admitted again with the complaint of a fever and appetite loss. Abdominal computed tomography (CT) detected a relapse of the abscess in the right liver lobe. Cavity enhancement showed a hepatobronchial fistula communicating with a right bronchus. Continuous drainage and chemotherapy by antibiotics was effective, and he was discharged 3 weeks after admission. The size of the abscess cavity was gradually minimized, and the fistula closed. Two years have passed since the treatment, and there is no evidence of reccurence.
