An analysis is presented of our original current-feedback magnetic multivibrator. The realized circuit has a constant oscillation frequency provided by a thermistor. Though current-feedback magnetic multivibrators are highly efficient and reliable, the oscillation frequency normally varies according to the load current. In the proposed multivibrator, a new frequency compensation circuit cancels the dependence of junction voltages on the load current without any additional transformer. In this paper, the oscillation frequency is analyzed using our models of bipolar junction transistors. These models account for power dissipation, because the base-emitter voltage depends on the junction temperature and other factors.
