The write and readout properties of MAMMOS disks were investigated at 780 nm. The size of domains and readout signals from these domains written at various writing laser powers with the light intensity modulation for the two disks which have different thickness of memory layer were investigated. Smaller domains at threshold writing laser power for the disk with thin memory layer than those of the disk with thick memory layer were observed. A saturation amplitude of the readout signals amplified by the bias magnetic field was observed from various sizes of written domains. The tolerance of the readout laser power and the bias magnetic field for the disk with thick memory layer was larger than those of the disk with thin memory layer.
