Octamin tablets containing paraverine hydrochloride, nicotinic acid, tioctic amide and other vitamins are designed to improve blood circulation and metabolism of the inner ear.<BR>The authors have shown that of these ingredients papaverine hydrochloride has a remarkable efficacy of increasing blood flow in the inner ear. They administered this drug to the patients of Ménière's disease and other inner ear diseases, and perceived a remarkable healing efficacy for tinnitus in the patients of Ménière's disease as well as for vertigo.<BR>They concluded that this drug ought to be tried in the treatment of inner ear diseases.
