In the Japanese literature, the triple carcinoma localized only in the head and neck has not been reported. We experienced a case which strongly suggested the tripple carcinoma localized only in the head and neck. The first carcinoma was observed in the right vocal fold, the second in the left false vocal fold and the third in the soft palate. Surgical displacement of the false vocal fold following cordectomy was performed for the first carcinoma, total laryngectomy for the second and chemoradiotherapy for the third. The interval between the first and third carcinomas was three and a half years. The second and the third were synchronous. This case was discussed pathologically and clinically. As this result, the probability that the second and third carcinoma was the metastasis of the first was not negated. The second and third were regarded as primary tumors.
