頸部神経鞘腫の超音波断層所見について

Schwannoma arising in the cervical region is uncommon. It is usually difficult to obtain correct diagnosis of this tumor prior to the surgery, since many of the tumors lack neurological signs and symptomes. Therefore, the diagnosis has to depend on histopathological examination of the resected tumor and the origin of the tumor may inferred by postoperative neurological dysfunction. Since such postoperative sequelae are often unpredictable and may cause legal problems, one should be very careful in preoperative examination of the tumor. In this study, we evaluated the echograms of 4 cases of schwannomas recently experienced in our clinic and the diagnostic value of the echogram was stressed.
