Case 1. A man, aged 28 years, visited the author's clinic with complaints of swelling of the left cheek and left nasal blockage. A huge follicular dental cyst resulting from the left canine of the upper jaw was found to be pressing the maxillar sinus hard toward the outside, and the inferior turbinate and the nasal septum to the right, and a swelling of the cheek and the hard palate was observed. When the cystic tumor measuring 5.5×4.5×6cm was removed by operation, a surplus tooth was discovered to have been embedded on the outside of and in contact with the cyst.<BR>Case 2. A man, aged 44 years, visited the author's clinic with the complaint of bad-smelling pus flow from the extraction wound of the 2nd premolar tooth of the upper jaw and the incision wound in the hard palate. A swelling of the inferior nasal meatus and the hard palate caused by the root cyst originating from the root edge on the palate side of the 2nd premolar tooth was observed. A shadow of the size of a pigeon egg was observed by the X-Ray photography, and the cystic tumor was removed by operation.
