A case of metachronous triple cancer is reported. The first cancer (pathology: mucinous adenocarcinoma) arised in his stomach and gastrectomy was performed by the Billroth II method when he was sixty-two years old. Eight years later, the second cancer (moderately differenciated squamous cell carcinoma) of the larynx occured at the age of seventy and was treated by irradiation by tele-cobalt sixty (6000 rads) of the tumor of his right vocal cord. Eight years after this, a roentogenogram revealed a third cancer (poorly differenciated squamous cell carcinoma) of the esophagus in the thoracic medial segment. He was treated with 10-MeV X-ray therapy and a dose of 6080 rads was given, however, a tumor of the esophagus spread out in the surrounding tissue and metastasis to the lungs occurred in the next year. Then he died at the age of seventy-nine. On the follow up of the cancer patient, the probability of a second or third cancer should be kept in mind.
