The cases of nasal bone fracture treated during the period 1972-1978, consisted of 39 patients (38 males and 1 female) with a mean age of 21.7 years. Automobile accidents, sports injury, struggles and unexpected collision were found to be the most common causes. The symptoms were external nasal deformity, nasal bleeding, nasal obstruction and swelling of the dorsal nose. In roentgen examinations, the lateral view revealed fractures in 45.2% of the cases, and the Waters' view revealed fractures in 85.7% of the cases. Most of these cases were treated with closed reduction.
