Ilotycin was used in 8 cases of diphtheria and satisfactory results were obtained.<BR>1) The bacilli and pseudomembrane disappeared very fast and the general conditions of the patients were improved speedily. None of the patients complained of by-effects.<BR>2) In one case where Ilotycin treatment only was given, the patient suffered from recurrence paralysis, but he was cured quickly by the use of antitoxic serum in great quantities at an early stage.<BR>3) In view of the acting mechanism of Ilotycin, and serum should be used together for diphtheria, and also it is desirable to use them together for postdiphtheric paralysis.<BR>4) In view of the disappearance of the bacilli and pseudomembrane, the time of discontinuation of the use of Ilotycin should be at least two or tin ee days after the disappearance of the bacilli and, if possible, it should be used until the pseudomembrane disappears.
