<I>Angular distributions of β-rays from a sealed source of</I> <SUP>14</SUP>C <I>are calculated by using the relation of exponential transmission for β-rays against absorber thickness. Absorption coefficients of β-rays given from three empirical formulas are used in the calculation. The angular distributions estimated are found to be dependent on the formula adopted for calculation, and two of them give the better agreement with the experimental results obtained previously. Moreover, the correction for the effect of the forward scattering of β-rays in the sealing layer improves the agreement for larger emission angles.</I>
