<I>Behavior of radionuclides and stable isotopes during the combustion in an incinerator equipped with cooling and collecting apparatus was studied. Following results were obtained.</I> (1) <I>P and Ca were both in particulate states in the exhaust gas, whereas those in the cooling water were both in particulate and water-soluble states.</I> (2) <I>About 40% of P was retained on the inner wall of the incinerator.</I> (3) <I>Both S and C were dominant in gaseous states in the exhaust gas, and their collection efficiencies with 1N</I> CsOH <I>were 89% and 46%, respectively. The collection efficiencies of gaseous S and C in aqueous</I> NH4OH <I>were found to be 95% and 91%, respectively, as calculated from activity of precipitates of</I> Ba35SO4 <I>and</I> Ba14CO3.
