The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of guidance of the salt restriction class that used the health educational model. Subjects were local populaces and public office staffs (18 participation group people and 8 non-participation group people) in Aomori Prefecture I village. The salt restriction class was held once a month six times in total. The urinary salt measurement, blood pressure measurement, and the survey questionnaire were executed before the first class and after the last class. The systolic and diastolic blood pressure of the participation group decreased significantly after the classes. The potassium of the participation group increased significantly after the classes. In the questionnaire after the final class, in"Confidence in the low salt practice", "I am confident" accounted for 85.7% of the participation group, and 16.7% of the non-participation group, and "I am not confident" came to 14.3% of the participation group, and 83.3% of the non-participation group, and a significant relationship was seen. The participation group shifted to "I am confident", and the non-participation group to"I am not confident". Participant's "Participation level to the discussion" was 77.8% for "It was possible to participate sufficiently in the discussion"and"It was possible to participate moderately"together. As for"My problem and solution", it was 100% for"Having understood sufficiently"and"Understood moderately"together. As for"Was the improved life-style able to be practiced?", it was 100% for"It was able to be practiced sufficiently"and"It was able to be practiced moderately"together. In conclusion, the salt restriction education on which the scenario study was applied showed an effective possibility from the facts that; 1) in the comparison before and after the classes, the potassium of the participation group increased significantly, 2) a significant relationship between confidence in the low salt practice and the participation state was seen, 3) systolic and diastolic blood pressure of the participation group decreased significantly after the classes.
