RESERCH ON LEVELS OF IgG SUBCLASS IN ALLERGIC CHILDREN

We examined IgG subclass of serum from 182 allergic children usig ELISA method. We defined low level below twofold of standard deviation. Twenty-five children (13.7%) showed low level in more than one IgG subclass. Eighty-eight percent of these children showed normal level of total IgG level. Twenty six point three percent of children with low IgA level showed low level in more than one IgG subclass.There was no significance between levels of IgG subclass snd IgE. We compared level of IgG subclass and severity of atopic dermatitis and bronchial asthma. There was no correration with severity of atopic dermatitis. However very high population of severepatient with bronchial asthma ahowed lower level in more than one IgG subclass.
