We report a case of a 2 month old female with thrombocytopenia and failure to thrive due to milk allergy. The patient was admitted to another hospital due to the bacterial infection and subsequently referred to our hospital due to the rapid development of thrombocytopenia. After five days the thrombocytopenia had improved following administration of a high-dose of γ-globulin. On the twelfth day she developed severe diarrhea due to Rotavirus infection. A few days later her general condition improved but the patient's body weight did not increase due to vomiting and protracted diarrhea. Following treatment with an amino acid-based infant formula, her symptoms gradually improved with her weight returning to normal range. Her clinical course suggested that she had a milk allergy.
