We reported a case of interstitial pneumonitis after induction therapy which showed excellent response to pulse therapy with methylprednisolone. The patient was an 11-year-old boy with acute monocytic leukemia (AMoL), who had interstitial pneumonitis of unknown etiology when he was in an immunosuppresive state after 2 cycles of induction therapy with Etoposide (VP-16), cytarabine (Ata-C), prednisolone (PDN). Though his dyspnea was getting severe and needed continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP), it was reversed dramatically by pulse therapy with methylprednisolone.
