• The initial occurrence of Peach Silver Mite, Aculus fockeui (Nalepa et Trouessart), on the leaves of Peach (cv. Shigahakutou) tree in 1990, 1991 and 1992 was detected on June 16-20, 26-30 and 6-10 in Yamanashi, respectively, The number of the mite increased rapidly to 704 per one leaf on July 26-30 in 1991.The fruit weight and sugar content on the trees without spraying miticide were decreased to 15% and 8% respectively in comparison with sprayed plots.
