<I>Separation of carrier free</I> <SUP>206</SUP>Bi <I>from the</I> <SUP>206</SUP>Pb <I>target bombarded by 19 MeV deuteronparticles obtained from the 160-cm IPCR cyclotron was studied. The bombarded lead nitrate (enriched</I><SUP>206</SUP>Pb (NO<SUB>3</SUB>) <SUB>2</SUB>) <I>was dissolved in 0.1 M nitric acid and 0.2 M oxine-TBP was added, and the two phases were mixed well by one minute shaking. The carrier free</I> <SUP>206</SUP>Bi <I>was separated by extraction with 0.2M oxine-TBP and then back-extracted into conc</I>. HNO<SUB>3</SUB>.<I>The recovery efficiency was about 95%. A carrier free</I> <SUP>206</SUP>Bi <I>with sufficiently high radiochemical purity was obtained by this simple procedure</I>.
